I UNDERSTAND AND AGREE FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE - I have read and consent to the Initial Consultation Agreement as follows: this Initial Consultation Agreement is between Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (The “RCIC”) Marina Nelson of Marina Immigration Corporation, membership number R533453, of 2100 Agate Bay Rd, Louis Creek, BC, Canada, V0E 2E0, phone: +1-604-897-9220, email: info@marinaimmigration.com, and the Client.

Please be advised that Marina Nelson is a member in good standing of the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC), and as such, is bound by its By-law, Code of Professional Conduct, and Regulations. The Client is obliged to pay the initial consultation fee for their consultation online or by phone. I understand that this fee is not refundable for any reason and that the consultation is comprised of one session only whether or not I choose to use the full time I booked for my consultation. I also understand that this consultation is for assessment and/or advice only and is not an agreement for services and not a file review service.

I acknowledge that this consultation is exclusively intended for myself and my immediate family members. According to Canadian immigration law, "family member" encompasses spouses, common-law partners, dependent children under 22 years of age, and dependents of dependent children. Should there be a desire to include a non-family member, it will necessitate an additional legal agreement submitted by said individual along with associated fees.

I understand that this is an initial consultation only and it does not authorize the RCIC to act as your Authorized Representative on any Expression of Interest or Application with any governmental body in Canada. Separate government forms and retainer agreement(s) are required for the RCIC to act as your Authorized Representative.

I understand that pursuant to An Act respecting immigration to Québec, the RCIC will not represent or advise in connection with a proceeding or application in Quebec.

The initial consultation fee paid by the Client can be used as payment (“credit”) to the Immigration case that the RCIC will open depending on the results of this consultation. The US dollars will be converted into Canadian dollars at the exchange rate published by the Bank of Canada at the time the payment is received and will be applied toward the credit. The credit is valid only for the Immigration case that the RCIC will recommend and up to seven (7) calendar days only after the date of consultation, meaning, the client needs to make a decision and sign a Retainer Agreement within that 7 days for the credit to remain valid. This agreement shall be governed by the laws in effect in the Province of British Columbia, and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Applicable GST/HST will be added to in-Canada orders.

Force Majeure:

We reserve the right to reschedule a consultation due to circumstances beyond our control such as natural disasters, including power outages, that may lead to a temporary loss of internet service.

Confidentiality:

The Client agrees to the use of electronic communication and storage of confidential information.

The RCIC will use its best efforts to maintain a high degree of security for electronic communication and information storage.

Limitation of Liability:

The RCIC is not responsible for any online breaches of information or anything related to any online system or communication whatsoever.

Step 1: Order your consultation

At Marina Immigration, we offer Canada immigration eligibility assessments and consultations with a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC), licenced and registered with the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants. We are a completely internet-based and virtual service immigration firm, assisting clients worldwide.

To schedule a consultation, please use the online form.

Step 2: Complete an information form

Fill in the Preliminary Assessment Form attached in our email response to your order within 24 hours of consultation order. List your questions at form’s end. Send the completed form with your relevant documents by email to us.

We are bound by the Code of Professional Conduct to preserve the complete confidentiality of your information. Thus, your information will not be shared with any third parties. However, this information is needed for purposes of providing the desired immigration consultation. Therefore, please make sure the information you enter is thorough and accurate.

Step 3: Schedule your consultation

In our email that you will receive after you place an order for consultation, we will ask your to submit documents relevant to your questions or application. You will be asked to attach them in an email with the form you completed in Step 2.

Contained in the email we will send you after ordering your consultation is a link to our calendar. Once you have submitted the Preliminary Assessment Form with your relevant documents, you will be asked to schedule a convenient time for your consultation using our calendar.

Step 4: During your consultation

During your scheduled consultation, we will listen carefully to your questions and offer possible options and solutions. We strongly recommend that you take notes during the session. Additionally, when you choose WhatsApp for your consultation, we will post links to helpful resources directly related to our discussion for your reading during or after our consultation.

Ultimately, it will be your decision which course of action you’d like to take. If you would like us to assist or represent you in your case, after the consultation we will email you our associated fees. Should you decide to retain us for any visa, immigration, or citizenship services, this consultation fee will be credited your account and applied toward your payment for services when you sign a retainer agreement within 7 days of consultation.

Step 5: The retainer agreement

If you would like us to act as your authorized representative in your case or require immigration legal assistance, we will furnish you with a detailed service quotation via email subsequent to the consultation. Should you opt to engage our services, a formal retainer agreement for the provision of services will be executed by both you and the Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC). This retainer agreement grants us the authority to render immigration services on your behalf. Should you execute a retainer agreement within 7 days of your initial consultation, the consultation fees will be credited towards the services you engage us to deliver.

   Highly recommend Marina Immigration to anyone that has Canadian immigration needs. I’ll be honest, I was not sure how this whole CUSMA work permit process was going to go. The rules are technical and there is a lot of gray area when you are trying to figure out if you actually qualify under a free trade agreement category. Marina stepped in and basically cut through the confusion. She did not overpromise anything, which I appreciated. She looked at the job offer, the role details, and the supporting documents and immediately flagged what would and would not work under CUSMA. That saved a lot of back and forth. What stood out was how specific she was. Instead of generic immigration advice, she focused on how IRCC would actually read the file, especially how the job duties needed to line up with the treaty category. We had to tweak a few things before submitting, but it was clear why each change mattered. The application itself went in without drama, and I did not get hit with any surprise requests or delays, which honestly I was expecting. In the end, the work permit was approved.
