I have read and consent to the Initial Consultation Agreement as follows: this Initial Consultation Agreement is between Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (The “RCIC”) Marina Nelson of Marina Immigration Corporation, membership number R533453 and the Client. Please be advised that Marina Nelson is a member in good standing of the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC), and as such, is bound by its By-law, Code of Professional Ethics, and Regulations. The Client is obliged to pay the initial consultation fee for their consultation online or by phone. I understand that this fee is not refundable for any reason and that the consultation is comprised of one session only whether or not I choose to use the full time I booked for my consultation. I also understand that this consultation is for assessment and/or advice only and is not an agreement for services.

I have read the Cancellation and Refund Policy at the link and agree to its terms:

I understand that this is an initial consultation only and it does not authorize the RCIC to act as your Authorized Representative on any Expression of Interest or Application with any governmental body in Canada. Separate government forms and retainer agreement(s) are required for the RCIC to act as your Authorized Representative.

I understand that pursuant to An Act respecting immigration to Québec, the RCIC will not represent or advise in connection with a proceeding or application in Quebec.

The initial consultation fee paid by the Client can be used as payment (“credit”) to the Immigration case that the RCIC will open depending on the results of this consultation. The US dollars will be converted into Canadian dollars at the exchange rate published by the Bank of Canada at the time the payment is received and will be applied toward the credit. The credit is valid only for the Immigration case that the RCIC will recommend and up to seven (7) calendar days only after the date of consultation. Meaning, the client needs to make a decision and sign a Retainer Agreement within that 7 days for the credit to remain valid. This agreement shall be governed by the laws in effect in the Province of British Columbia, and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Applicable GST/HST will be added to in-Canada orders.

Force Majeure:

We reserve the right to reschedule a consultation due to circumstances beyond our control such as natural disasters, including power outages, that may lead to a temporary loss of internet service.

The Client agrees to the use of electronic communication and storage of confidential information.

The RCIC will use its best efforts to maintain a high degree of security for electronic communication and information storage.

Limitation of Liability:

Release of Liability Due to Electronic Method

The RCIC is not responsible for any online breaches of information or anything related to any online system or communication whatsoever.
Disclaimer: We reserve the right to limit the topics discussed during the initial consultation if the questions are deemed to require an excessive amount of research.  A retainer agreement may be required to address complex matters.

We regret that we are unable to offer advice or representation for Quebec immigration.

At Marina Immigration, we offer Canada immigration eligibility assessments and consultations with a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC), licenced and registered with the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council. We are a completely internet-based and virtual service immigration firm, assisting clients worldwide.

The 15 minute consultations are suitable to answer up to three basic questions. The 1/2 hour or 1 hour consultations leave time for more questions, but do not allow enough time to review the immigration forms and supporting documents for an application that you may have completed yourself. If you require these services, the first step is to book a consultation.

To schedule a consultation, please use the online form.

To receive immigration advice from a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC), you first need to order a consultation by credit card or PayPal.

Please fill complete this order form. If you have read all of the instructions here and still have questions about placing an order, please email [email protected]. We will respond during office hours.

All consultations are pre-paid. Please view our cancellation and refund policy.

Complete the Preliminary Assessment Form. This form will be attached to the email we will send you within 24 hours of receiving your order for a consultation.  At the end of the form is a space for you to list your questions which we will carefully answer during your consultation.

However, this information is needed for purposes of providing the desired immigration consultation. Therefore, please make sure the information you enter is thorough and accurate.

In our email that you will receive after you place an order for consultation, we will ask your to submit documents relevant to your questions or application. You will be asked to attach them in an email with the form you completed in Step 2.

Contained in the email we will send you after ordering your consultation is a link to our calendar. Once you have submitted the Preliminary Assessment Form with your relevant documents, you will be asked to schedule a convenient time for your consultation using our calendar.

If, for any reason, we cannot access your documents or forms, such as requiring a password to access the documents and the password was not supplied to us, or sending files in a proprietary format that we are not able to open, we may cancel your appointment requesting you to make the documents accessible to us before rescheduling.

During your scheduled consultation, we will listen carefully to your questions and offer possible options and solutions. We strongly recommend that you take notes during the session. Additionally, when you choose WhatsApp for your consultation, we will post links to helpful resources directly related to our discussion for your reading during or after our consultation.

Ultimately, it will be your decision which course of action you’d like to take. If you would like us to assist or represent you in your case, after the consultation we will email you our associated fees. Should you decide to retain us for any visa, immigration, or citizenship services, this consultation fee will be credited your account and applied toward your payment for services when you sign a retainer agreement within 7 days of consultation. Application fees vary by program.

If you would like us to act as your authorized representative in your case, or provide immigration legal assistance, both you and the RCIC will sign a retainer agreement for services. The retainer agreement authorizes us to provide immigration services to you. When you sign a retainer agreement with us within 7 days of your initial consultation, the consultation fees will be applied toward the services you retain us to provide.
